TRX fitness is a new method of suspension training that has become popular in recent years. It focuses on using your own body weight as resistance, as opposed to free-weights.
I was fine with the upper body stuff - press, tricep, bicep; I can see how squats using the straps help with form; and that's a good thing for me and my wonky knees. What I didn't like was any move that called for putting my feet into the straps; and I especially didn't like that the instructor let me struggle and was very patronizing when she came to "save" me. She didn't ask about back issues or offer any alternatives when I had trouble with the moves. I know how important form is in preventing injury, and there were so many ways I could have come out of there wrecked. I may try another instructor, but I don't think I'll make TRX part of my repertoire.
After class, I showered, met my mom for lunch and took the dog for a walk. I snacked, which was not in my plan, and went to my weekly SPOGA (spin+yoga) class. Spin was great and yoga was HARD. It has previously been a gentle flow, post cardio class, but yesterday was a lot of knees, planks, balance, and hard flexibility poses that really didn't give me the "hug" I wanted to end the day. I slept well and I'm sore this morning.
I've gone back to My Fitness Pal, focusing on lower, non-processed carbs and higher protein. I'm going to run 3 days/week, starting with 1 mile and building to 5 with no walking. I'm not going to let the snow today and tomorrow ruin my plan.
I don't have a lot of confidence in my self right now. When you start so many failed attempts; it's hard to believe that THIS ONE will be THE ONE. I know that "there is no failure except in no longer trying", so I keep trying...

I know how you feel. One day at a time. Commit to today. Once you have a few days of commitment under your belt, your self confidence will follow.
Wow, that's a lot of tough classes in one day! Great job! Sorry you didn't get your gentle yoga though, that's a bummer and it sounds like you really did need it after all that other exercise.
My gym has TRX classes, and I get the feeling I would not care for them either. I understand feeling beaten down by past failures. I am the same way right now. But I agree that once you have a few good days in, you will feel better. Definitely don't give up!
