Happy 2017

It's been a busy, stupid week of nothing much; but I'm happy to report that my house has been de-Christmas'd (a must on New Years Day) and I'm about 12 hours away from true ZEN --- the kids go back to school, the husband goes back to work - after a LONG 2 weeks - and I sneak a two day break to get my life on track for 2017.

SIGH.

And now it's Tuesday morning. Home. Laundry almost done; lists everywhere... My mind is all over the place. I don't want to waste my days of PEACE walking in circles....

What do I want to accomplish ?
- Chores and general pick up... With the kids and DH home so long, the house just went... Today will be a reset... It makes me feel good when things are in their places...
- Both girls and I want to eat healthy and get in shape so I'm setting up the kitchen for success... That means donate food that doesn't support our lifestyle (or put it in DH's cupboard) and get things organized so I'll know when we're really out of ketchup (we now have 3 unopened bottles!)
- Make a grocery list and plan meals.
- Cut veggies and boil some eggs
- Organize my clothes so I never wear yoga pants to work again...

Tomorrow is Weigh Day...
I've logged my food every day in MFP and I've met my step/exercise goal (actually exceeded!) My food choices this week were not always the best... clam chowder, ice cream (alot), chinese food (fried shrimp, chicken), and German food on a special night out... I had gluwein (hot mulled red wine), different sausages, potato spatzle, and cheese cake.... Trust me - I felt like crap the next day, but BUT DH and I lived in Germany for a few years and we wanted to introduce our kids to things we loved to eat ...and the restaurant was phenomenal...

Today I am Fasting...
I did it successfully last Tuesday and I thought I would do it  again... I don't want to look at it as punishment for the free range eating of last week, but instead as a gift to my body - a reset, clean out... What I'll do differently is drink water water water... and maybe broth later - my sister thought I needed the salt to avoid the painful headaches... This coming week will also be different. No more holidays. No more crap! I want to have a totally on plan week and I think I have the motivation (finally) to pull it off!

Stay tuned...

Yes! You are right back on track!

The German food sounds great. I've had gluwein on my bike tour last year to Germany.

Happy new year!
