Weigh In Wednesday... Thursday

Since April 14, I am up 3.6.... This is what happens when you you go away for the weekend and comeback unfocused and lazy... No journaling, snacking, no portion control, ice cream cones... underestimating calories, eating at night, scale avoidance... It doesn't matter what I do Monday thru Wednesday morning - if  I've screwed around with my head in the sand the previous two weeks I can't expect to see a loss. I won't even call it lack of motivation - I'm not "motivated" to shower or sleep - I just do it; because it's habit and what we do to maintain health and hygiene.

So why can't I just DO healthy eating? Why do I eat - snack - when I know I'm not hungry? It's so frustrating! I hate going backwards, I hate spinning my wheels AND I know there's no magic bullet. I have to be very diligent about what I eat, when and how much. If I put it all together - it works - and it is what I want!?

AND all I can do is TRY and TRY and TRY again and eventually something will sink in. So here I am back at day one of trying... My goals for this week THURSDAY - WEDNESDAY morning...

Log food in MFP.
Drink 8 glasses of water daily
WEIGH daily
Run 2x, Spin 1x, 10K steps daily
Fast 2x - Mon/Thur
BE KIND to me.

**I have to find something I like to help me with stress that doesn't involve eating...

Stress affects us in so many ways. And you have had a lot of stress in your life!
I hope you find something that works for you. There is no magic potion for weight loss but I honestly think stress is the magic bullet that KILLS weight loss. Even if you are managing to eat right and exercise, it increases cortisol so you're fighting hormones even more.

Hang in there. You're going to be successful.

Getting the wake-up call by getting on the scale is a step forward. You know what's been off, and you know what to do. But remember: One day at a time.
