Yesterday I went to a "Kripalu Vinyasa Flow class with mild heat. It was challenging, but I really liked the instructor and the heat since it was SO cold outside. The class definitely set the tone for the rest of the day. I ate healthy, logged all my food into MFP; and I set up my new scale. My weight is 194.8 so I gained everything I lost at WW this fall - about 8 pounds. Honestly, the way my pants are fitting I thought I'd be over 200 so I'm relieved in a way.
This morning I talked to my sister today, who is 100 percent on track! She signed up for some triathlons and running races; has cleaned out her house and put the whole family on a healthy eating plan.... Pretty intense and I admit I felt like a slacker listening to her training plan - 3 x running, 2 gym days, morning plank/crunch routine...
STAY ON YOUR MATT!
This is one of my favorite "mantras?" at yoga (Thank you Wendy!); which I'm taking with me into my daily life. I can't compare my practice, ability, or level of motivation with that girl beside me - her leg folded over her head.... I have to focus entirely on my journey and creating the best practice and life for ME.
I paid for premium MFP for the year so I can ditch the ads and more accurately track my macros. I'm going to focus on lower carbs (20%) with fat and protein at (40%). I am *trying* to get my step in; though I am a wimp. I will do it today for sure - temps will be in the 20's for the first time in the last week so it should feel balmy!
I still don't have a regular yoga / workout schedule or plan. I'm doing a "chakra cleanse" - 2 hour seminar Saturday morning for sure and we'll go from there. For now, I'm focusing on getting my diet under control, getting the sugar out of my system and adding a little vitamin D!

What do you think of the premium MFP? I was wondering if it worth it. I love MFP either way!
I'm still trying to figure it out. I want my FITBIT steps accounted for somewhere, but I hate how they are added to my daily calories....MFP is TOO high on that end and we all know calories in / out is NOT a formula for weight loss... it's MACROS baby!
Yay! Thanks for the mention, and I am SO GLAD that this resonates for you. Another version I use of this lately, is: It doesn't matter what's happening on any other mat, only yours.
It's nearly impossible for us not to compare; seeking not to, is a practice. Kindness and compassion for the self, always, even when we've found ourselves comparing. So, same practice with your sister. Good for her! But you do what works for you. Maybe there is inspiration available to you in her plan... but maybe not!
So glad you are digging yoga! Yay! Sounds like a good plan on eating and exercise. Keep us posted on how you like upgraded MFP.
